Reselling is a fantastic way to get your start, pay for school or earn a living and travel the country if you know what you’re doing! But only if you know what you’re doing.
The key is to avoid the mistakes here and listen to the experts to do well in your local area!
I interviewed Brad Wilkerson aka IG/Sonofasonofaseller, a third generation nationwide traveling reseller and this is what he shared:
To make real money in reselling, you have to be open to all niches. Diversify what you’re dealing in to reduce risk. Brad deals in everything from Sports to clothing to perfume as you’ll see below.
Play both the major cities and the small towns. Often times the small towns have the huge hits but the big cities are more reliable for the low-mid end flips and finds.
Some categories are just unreal. In the interview in Hobby+, you’ll hear all of them but a big one is older tech parts as well as old catalogs.
As a beginner, sell on all platforms but as you get more advanced, concentrate on one!
