Instagram Is Sharing Best Practices
Instagram has added a new tool to your Professional Dashboard called Best Practices.
Found under “Your Tools”, Best Practices shares Instagram’s recommendations for Creation, Engagement, Reach, Monetization, and more!
Now, if we’re being honest there’s nothing in this dashboard that’s going to blow your mind. If you’ve been doing social media for a while, you’ll probably know most of this already. But it never hurts to brush up on the fundamentals.
Note: It’s unclear as of now but this feature appears to only be available for verified accounts.
Instagram’s Content Best Practices
Here’s an example of what to expect from the “Best Practices” feature. We clicked on the “Creation” tab and here’s what it said:
Make creating reels part of your routine: Many factors go into growing followers, but accounts with the greatest follower growth rates create 10 or more reels per month on average.
Capture attention with photos: If you prefer creating posts, consistently posting photos and carousels can also help you get more reach, which can lead to more followers. Adding audio also helps posts get shown to more people.
Make your first 3 seconds count: Share something funny, relatable or unexpected at the start of your reel to keep people watching.
Check your timing: Reels that are 30–90s get better engagement and are shown to more people. Reels over 90s won’t be recommended to new audiences.
Try trending audio: The popularity of trends on reels and posts helps determine how content associated with those trends gets distributed.
Only use relevant hashtags: Trending hashtags that are relevant to the topics in your reel or post help you reach more people who are interested in those specific topics.
Keep it high-res: People tend to engage more with high-quality content. Reels should have a minimum resolution of 720p and a minimum frame rate of 30 frames per second.
What Is SocialAI?
SocialAI is a brand new social platform where every single one of your followers is AI. This app essentially lets you see what it feels like to be social media famous without actually being famous.
The interface is very similar to X/Twitter and your feed is private so it is only AI generated followers, engagements, and replies.
In the app’s description on the App Store the developers claim the app is intended for “reflection” and “support”, stating that with that app you can:
Post status updates and get infinite replies from millions of AI followers
Enjoy your own private space for reflection and feedback, like you’re the main character
Experience AI conversations tailored to your mood and thoughts
Use SocialAI as a tool for therapy, journaling, or simply feeling heard
Receive helpful insights and AI-generated support in real-time
Feel the boost of always being surrounded by your AI community
Explore a new kind of social engagement where it’s all about you
Note: If you are experiencing emotional distress or struggling with your mental health, we strongly encourage you to seek support from a licensed therapist or mental health professional.
