How to Pitch a Brand Like MrBeast đź’¸
Breaking down his leaked pitch deck 🔎
Last week MrBeast’s pitch deck to GM was leaked to the public after being included in court documents from the MrBeast Burger lawsuit.
First reported by Business Insider
We’ve included some of the slides below and explained how you can replicate them for yourself when building your next pitch deck. Before you say anything… yes, the design isn’t great. But that just shows us that MrBeast and his team care more about the information in the deck than its design.
The most important think to take away here is that MrBeast pitches brands. So many creators take the Field of Dreams approach — “build it and they will come”. They expect that once they’ve built up a following, brands will come to them with deals. Wrong. While this can happen, the best way to get brand deals is to pitch brands on working with you. Here’s how MrBeast does it 👇
Introduce Yourself
Keep it short and sweet. MrBeast introduces himself in three bullet points.
Metrics
Share any and all relevant metrics: audience size, engagement, etc.
What’s New?
Share what’s recently been happening in your world that would pique a brand’s interest. MrBeast shares recent milestones and brand partnerships, but you could also share things like media features, content that performed well recently, likes and comments from notable public figures, etc. The goal with this slide is to show there’s exciting things happening around your content right now.
When brands partner with you on your content, they’re not just getting in front of a new audience, they’re also being associated with your brand. You want to use this slide as a way to share your big vision, what your brand stands for, and how that will benefit the brand that’s partnering with you.
Sell Your Audience
These three slides are all about selling your audience to the brand. Who are they? Why should they want to advertise to your viewers?
MrBeast’s slides also include why YouTube is the best platform in general to reach this audience.
Sell Yourself
These two slides are all about explaining what a brand will get from working with you specifically. What do you bring that no one else does?
Show Your Work
This last slide is all about showcasing proof of what a brand could get when working with you. MrBeast shows his previous highest performing integrations which is a great option, but if you have no previous integrations, don’t worry! What you can use this slide for instead is to mock up what the integration would look like if the brand partnered with you. You can include example scripts, ad reads, visual mock ups etc.
