3 Major Instagram Changes You Definitely Missed

How to take advantage of The New Instagram Changes

Instagram just made 3 major changes that totally flew under the radar.

One of which, they will make all users aware of soon. The two others will likely never be spoken about publicly. They’re more of a social media strategist thing than a general user tool.

Let’s break them all down.

1) First, the wide Instagram feature update: Instagram Story Comments:

TLDR: Instagram is slowly rolling out the ability to comment on Instagram stories. This totally changes the game and will increase time spent on stories significantly. It will also raise the bar for content on stories as no one will want to be publicly roasted for their story or story ad.

This is what it will look like:

How to take advantage of it: There’s going to be some attention arbitrages to be had for brands and individuals at the start.

Lots of people will be reading the comments and if you can get in there first on stories of certain brands/theme pages/creators, your comment may get disproportionately more eyeballs than you would on a normal post.

I believe it will be a new way to engage your audience/potential customers as well. A realtor could post a story and say comment “tour” if you want to get a tour and now in a new format they would be able to see who wants it and reach out from there. The difference between story replies and this is there would be social proof and demand that other people want whatever it is too.

The other big top of mind impact is you’ll see a lot more time spent on stories. Since stories dont have their own explore feeds, this indirectly increases the value of a follower compared to reels which decreased the value of a follower because anyone can get 10M views on a reel with no followers.

2) The Second Update Is Really Sneaky: “Follow” Button On Collab Posts

Here’s how you, brands and creators will sneakily gain 10k+ followers from this switch…
